February 11, 2013What New Year’s resolution tops going back to school, quitting smoking and losing weight for most employees? Would you be shocked to know that most are looking for a new job? And why is this? You guessed it… Money! Increased compensation is top of the list on what employees would like to change the most in 2013.
End-of-the-year raises and bonuses play a big part in their decision to stay or leave. However, many employees have a change of heart if certain improvements are made. Obviously, employees would like to see a better work/life balance and see clearer goals set by their boss. But, a higher salary and/or bonus increase is the number one factor influencing employees decision to stay or jump ship.

Glassdoor’s 2012 survey was conducted online within the United States by Harris Interactive on behalf of Glassdoor from Nov. 8-12, sampling 2,059 adults 18 and older, among whom 1,066 are employed full-time/part-time. This online survey is not based on a probability sample, and therefore no estimate of theoretical sampling error can be calculated.
