Human Resources Manager / Civil Construction

EHC Construction, a growing employee-owned (ESOP) civil infrastructure contractor in Southwest Florida, is hiring a Human Resource Manager in the Fort Myers, Florida area.

OPPORTUNITY:
As our HR Manager, you will champion our day-to-day human resource functions in our fast-growing company. Inspire, train, coach, and mentor our team to enhance their ability to perform effectively within a safety regulated industry. Be a talented “horse whisperer” to bring out the best in people as this is a key focus in driving our growth. Couple your coaching skills with your action-oriented leadership approach to accelerate talent development across skilled labor and office professionals.

Reporting to the President, you will be a key part of the management team that is driving growth and excellence. Your employee relations program will provide a system that will support our progressive growth.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Serve as the point person for employee relations and company-wide employee communications.
• Supervise our HR team with hands-on management of all Human Resource functions.
• Oversee vendor relationships with HR outsourcing firms including Paylocity.
• Develop and implement talent management strategies, processes, and communications.
• Drive operational enhancements by championing improved departmental communication and accountability procedures and systems.
• Coordinate with Safety Consultant on field staff issues.

• Provide strategic ideas and input at executive management meetings.

SUCCESS FACTORS:

• Action oriented leader who can partner successfully with management to accelerate talent development across the organization.

• 5+ years of hands-on HR generalist experience at a manager, director or VP level.

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, organizational development, change management, or communications.
• SHRM certification preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of HR processes, administration, and compliance issues.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to ask insightful questions, gather intelligence, and build credibility.
• Relatable communication skills with field staff to enhance performance.
• Proficient use of software technology for effective use of our HR management tool, Paylocity.
• Warm and understanding personality that can inspire others to achieve their goals.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
